Information on Swing Flu
Ok This isn't a question about swing flu, more of a public announcement since everybody seems to have a lot of misconceptions. Ok, I will answer this appropriately, and I can asnwer this with authority, as I am actually an expert in epidemics and pandemics. What people don't realize is the fear of swing/brid flu is not the flu as it is, but rather what it could be. The spanish influenza was a mutated strain of bird flu (so theorized) that became airborn and also became more virulent. The threat is not so much what these flus are now, but the danger that one of these animal vector flu's will mutate like the Spanish influenza did, become A. completely airborn B. incredibly virulent and C. an indiscriminate killer, i.e. kills adults as readily as the young and the old. The problem is they have to start taking precautions every time a possibly virulent strain erupts. If they don't and they wait until it mutates then it will have spread so fast and so far by then that any measures they take will be nil and void. If a superflu occurs again, with transit as it is the deathtoll will be in the millions. These are just precautions that have to be taken to try and control the damage when a new superflu goes epidemic. And I do assure you, its a matter of when not if. As for the symptoms of swing flu, they are the same as the regular flu. I don't understand people asking for the symptoms os swine flu, they are the same as regular flu, and you have to go to the doctor to get tested to see if you have the regular flu or the swine flu. It is a good idea to get tested, because the swine flu is slightly more dangerous than the regularly flu, and you will also wish to seek treatment because the symptoms are just worse and more miserable in general. Pardon the spelling error, i did this on my iphone and predictive text changed it to swing, I didn't notice. For the record in the idiot who that out, its pretty obvious it wasn't a spelling error. As swing is not a spelling error so much as the wrong word. Only a petty person would bring up something like that which was obviously just an oversight.

Hi all The first world war started as a Balkan issue and quickly erupted into a global conflict and this had much to do with ill unfortunate alliances. Britain was not legally bound over to help anybody in 1914.....there was just an understanding that Britain might....just might help France repulse any invasion by Germany. The Schlieffen plan was implement by the Kaiser and France very nearly collapsed, the Germans were just 70 miles from Paris before things got better. Britain had decided to help and faced with the things that happened it's clear we rescued them and De Gaul never forgave us. But if France had been left to it's fate in 1914 many millions of people would not have been killed or maimed in the three years that followed. It's possible the Spanish flu of 1918 might not have been so devastating, it killed more than the war itself. There would have been no second world war....that killed 55 million and changed the world so much it took N.A.T.O to keep the Soviet Union out of the west. France wasn't in NATO after De Gaul withdrew in 1958, he didn't like the special relationship between UK & USA. Would a conquered France in 1914 have been a better option to all this? I just came from my boyfriends hosue and he was freaking outshould I be worried
He's had a really bad fever for the last 2 days. he kept claiming to be freezing cold when it's like 95 degrees out where I live. His parents weren't HOME so I stayed with him and gave him an alcohol rub and some aspirin. he started kicking off the covers so hard he hit my in the jaw and telling me he hated me. Then he fell asleep. His fever was still high and he started screaming,blood curdling scream and talking about thhis parents(he kept calling me 'Mami" not sure what that meant) and speaking in spanish randomly. ,and then said something about being the president and not having to take medicine before going to sleep again. i'm seriously worried and i called his parents so they could take him to the ER. i gave him a few aspirin and some soup but I'm still very scared for him. my parents called me home so I had to leave when his parents came home. should I go to the Er? I'm so scared for him,if yourreligiouss,can one of you keep him in yourprayersrs? 20 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer. Additional Details I got a text from his parent saying it was the flu,but not the swine flu. i'm still very worried for him. Will he be able to return to school? Should I pick up his work for him? I copied anmdnd pasted ebcause this is really imprtant and I don't knwo what to do;this is from another question i asked 5 minutes ago and got npretty mcuh no results. t's the flu though,but his fever was about 103.7 last time I took it;I ahve no idea about now though....

My best friend isnt my best friend anymore i thnk i want her back
well i first met her in july i sorta kinda stalked her a little i didnt like her i jus liked her personality and it got me i thought she would make a great friend this was in summer school july 2008 well when the school year started she was in my 4th and 8th period class so we talked and got in trouble all the time she made me her bestfriedn in about october 2008 lol she was my first best friend eva so i didnt know what to expect but mean while for the past two months her attitude has change towardz me and mines has changed toward her i use to want to be around her all the time then i was like i can carre less. but she would get madd ova dumb stuff cause i would have agreed to take someone else to da store while we are at skool she would get mad cause i tell her im already takn sum people somewhere so i cnt then shell go dnt talk to me ur fake so im like Ok. Is it the End of America
I think this is basically what they are doing. I believe our elections are rigged and have been for a long time. So now fast forward…. Swine Flu begins in Mexico. Man behind the curtain knows America is in economic shambles right now. If you look at the history of governments, when there are economic problems is the best time for any group to infiltrate that government. That is the best time for a government to become infiltrated and taken over. They are playing on ALL Americans emotions like this right now. Basically playing people against each other through media and false information. They know there is some anti-immigration sentiment in this country due to job losses, so they want to get the people all riled up about the borders. That is working. So then you have the American loving gun rights groups paying attention, those who are in the “right” party (not the far right) all worked up, the back and forth between the left and right while the most important stuff is being ignored because the whole country is bickering about nonsense, they put someone into office with a last name that resembles the terrorist group that we were “supposedly” going after, you know the Muslims, Obama’s middle name being Husein which will stir up emotions for some people who are still thinking that we’re going after “terrorists” that are Muslim, the ones so angry after 9/11 are still being patriotic and loving freedom, our military folks are getting more extreme from the inside, so then you have military pissed off because veterans from the past are screaming foul play, military and military supporters are fighting back and forth about what is patriotic and what isn’t, so they get all that old anger coming back to people in the country so they are stirring up emotions with people, prior to Obama we had Bush, a way toooooo far right agenda person who was slowly taking away our rights and changing the constitution, so now we have a black president which might stir up racial tension with those in the country that are white supremacist groups, and then you have African Americans (and White Americans) who have waited for the day that we have a cultural president, going back to Martin Luther King and the history, there has been a history of trying to surpress other cultures, so then they start making changes, throw in an Act that calls different groups terrorist groups, different groups start getting offended and looking at the person they hold personal negative views against, then you have the religions, they are playing on religious prayer right now, they throw that in there, get all the religions fighting amongst each other as to who is right and who is wrong and what is right and what is wrong. Go ahead and mix up racial, religious, and political tensions, what do you get? Agenda accomplished. All out war if people actually buy into any of this crap the media and political parties are spewing. It’s a sleeping beast, someone wanted to wake it up, who? Who wants to wake up an all out racial/culture/political argument? Why would they want to do that? Simple….to make changes in the government. Throw in some act here, another act there and POOF all your rights are gone. Everyone’s. Total dictatorship. They moved in before Obama, before Bush, and it’s been right in front of our eyes yet we were too blind and caught up in our own personal arguments in this country to ever see it happening. That’s my personal thoughts about what’s happening right now and I think it’s working hook line and sinker. Everyone’s jumping in with their info. you got vets and military people arguing amongst each other and shit I went to a coupon website today and read and argument between a Spanish person and a Black person calling each other racial names. Probably because the media just throw that whole Coupon article out there, and the media also just threw out “free cars for those on welfare”, can’t you people see it all around us? We’re being baited as a whole country. Completely baited. Punked if you will. I believe right now we have more freedoms then we ever HAD and ever WILL HAVE throughout the entire span of human existence. And i think thats coming to an end very soon... but for good. Once Power has been established in the worlds largest super-power, It will probably never be returned to the people. Is it really the end of America?

Why cant we just call it Mexican Flu
There was the "Spanish Flu" in 1919. There was the Hong Kong Flu.. Why can't we call it by the name of the place where it started?

Mexican Flu racist or accurate
Traditionally, various influenza outbreaks have been identified according to where the strains originated or where they were first described/identified. The Hong Kong Flu, Asian Flu, Spanish Flu, etc. Swine Flu is too generic, there are dozens (hundreds?) of swine-influenced flus in humans, and H1N1 A is way too scientific/cold to be used as the common name. And NO pigs have been found to be infected with this flu, in Mexico or anywhere else (I still think it may be a lab flu that got away). According to tradition, because this infection started in Mexico and was first identified and described there, it should be called the "Mexican Flu." However, some people say it's racist to call it that. Why? It's simply a fact, stating where it started. If it started in New York, it would be called the "New York Flu" or "New England Flu" if it was not so specific. Or the "Kansas Flu" (which is more accurate for the Spanish Flu). I do not understand at all how it can be "racist" to use the word "Mexican" to describe this flu unless "Mexican" as a word in and of itself is now a racist word. Can someone please explain to me how this could possibly be a racism issue? What do you mean it started in the US? Last I heard it was seen in Mexico as early as in March 18, the first US cases (in San Diego) were reported on April 17, which was the first to be tested by the CDC and to be proven to be a new strain, which came from the March outbreak in Mexico.
