what do you make of this
I heard that the swine flu is close to the 1918 flu. As you know, swine is also known as H1N1. I searched spanish flu and i found this website http://flu.emedtv.com/spanish-flu/spanish-flu.html
They have the same name wtf?
Oh and by the way, don't take the swine flu vaccine!!!!
you shouldn't take the vaccine because:
1. in 1976 there was a swine flu pandemic in the US. the vaccine killed more than the flu.
2. Apparently, there is legislation that could force us to have the vaccine. we are not forced to have tetanus, MMr + any others. why this?
3. some of the vaccine will be supplied this company called baxter which contaminated bird flu vaccines with live bird flu virus. pretty risky.
So were like a herd now are we? I am free, no legislation will force me to do anything. and by the way, it was worked out that the probability that baxters switching of vaccines was an accident was virtually impossible. If you really are a registered nurse, that gives you experience in looking after people in a hospital/GP, not discovering things that have to be unearthed.
This isthe proof of forced vaccines and forced quarentine:
WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION checklist for influenza pandemic preparedness planning: Section 1.5.1 Legal and ethical issues -
'During a pandemic, it may be necessary to overrule existing legislation or
(individual) human rights. Examples are the enforcement of quarantine
(overruling individual freedom of movement), use of privately owned buildings for hospitals, off-license use of drugs, compulsory vaccination or implementation of emergency shifts in essential services. These decisions need a legal framework to ensure transparent assessment and justification of the measures that are being considered, and to ensure coherence with international legislation (International Health Regulations).

Influenza AH1N1 immunity
I was infected with Russian Flu in 1978 as a child. Russian Flu is also known as Influenza A/H1N1 according to this article in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Influenza_A_virus_subtype_H1N1#Russian_flu). Coincidentally, the Spanish Flu of 1918 which killed millions is also Influenza A/H1N1. My question is do I have immunity against the current Influenza A/H1N1 virus that is a pandemic worldwide?

Questions about AH1N1 virus
First of all... A(H1N1) isn't limited to the 2009 so called "swine flu" I did some research and is confused because the 1918 Spanish flu is also A(H1N1).
Ok now please answer these :)) (Very sure answers) Thanks!
Origin of the A(H1N1) virus (year when it was first detected, the place where it originated, the animal where it was first detected)

Do you think that the H1N1 swine flu will come back more lethal this fall
I just wonder since because virus's are always mutating and it has infected so many people in so many countries that it could easily mutate. If you recall the spanish flu had 3 different strains. The first was just like season flu but the second and third were very lethal. So I think there could be a lot in common there. But I don't know, what do you think?

The Pig Flu and the Spanish Flu
I understand the present pig flu is a flu strain H1N1.
Recently I found out the Spanish flu is also H1N1.
So is this pig flu related to the Spanish Flu that killed millions after World War One?
So will it also kill millions?

What will cause the end of the world
Which of the causes below you think will lead to the end of the world?
1. Flu & other virus (Super flu that mutant every year)
2. Meteor & other natural disasters such as tsunami, earth quake etc..
3. Global warming
4. Others...
Now H1N1 is striking many countries and cause death, can it can be spread easily and fast due to the transports such as airplane. After reading the articles about Spanish Flu, been through the ages of Nipah Virus and H5N1, I felt like every moment is a step near to the end of human race.
Elric: Yours seems like the stories I read from manga. Haha...
Bean: You're right.
Gabby, I trust you. *ehem....*
Kath I miss you too~

do you think the h1n1 virus has weakened
this is quoted from the wikipedia of the 1918 spanish flu, under End of Pandemic.
"Another theory holds that the 1918 virus mutated extremely rapidly to a less lethal strain. This is a common occurrence with influenza viruses: there is a general tendency for pathogenic viruses to become less lethal as time goes by, providing more living hosts. According to this theory, this happened very quickly for the 1918 virus."
i have heard of this theory before in a documentary about viruses. i think it talked about the plague and spanish flu. there is another theory that some ppl are born with the genetic ability to fight against certain types of viruses, but that is another thing.
from what i know, this strain of virus is a combination of pig, bird and human flu viruses. it looks like it has gone through a lot of mutation and its weakening. but i'm leaving space for doubt. the first wave of spanish flu was bad, but the second phase killed millions infected ppl in days or even hours. this might just be the first phase.
do you think that this virus has reached the later phases, where it has weakened?
