IS IT DANGEROUS TO TRAVEL TO CANCUN MEXICO
My boyfriend and I want to travel South for a vacation, but he refuses to go to Mexico!!! He doesn't want to go there because of the swine flu scare going around, and also because he thinks there is a lot of violence and homicides in Mexico (Canadians have been killed in Mexico while on vacation). There is no final decision on how the military effort would be manned, but one source said it would likely include personnel from all branches of the military,” states the report. The proposal, which was drawn up by U.S. Northern Command’s Gen. Victor Renuart, is awaiting final approval from Defense Secretary Robert Gates. The first step would be to sign an “execution order” which would authorize the military to begin detailed planning on how to implement the proposal, before actual orders to deploy military personnel are given. The amount of troops required or whether they would come from the active duty or the National Guard and Reserve forces has not yet been determined. Northcom has been preparing for mass flu pandemics for years and indeed, Gen. Victor Renuart spoke of the threat of a flu pandemic emerging out of Mexico just weeks before it actually happened. Testifying back in March, Renuart said Northcom would provide “assistance in support of civil authorities” during an epidemic, adding “when requested and approved by the Secretary of Defense or directed by the President, federal military forces will contribute to federal support.” However, Renuart then added, “USNorthCom does not wait for that call to action.” “Because Mexico is our neighbor and disasters do not respect national boundaries, we are focused on developing and improving procedures to respond to potentially catastrophic events such as pandemic influenza outbreak, mass exposure to dangerous chemicals and materials, and natural disasters,” he testified. I have been exposed to Swine Flu and I have had a sore throat since yesterdayshould I worry
We got back from Mexico on Saturday and one of the guys on the trip came down with flu symptoms on Tuesday. He went to the doctor yesterday and they confirmed it today.They flew to a different state so we left them on Saturday morning. I have had a sore throat since yesterday. Should I go and get tested? I would normally ride it out, but I have a 9 month at home and pregnant woman at work. I really don't want to expose them to it.

Do I have Swine Flu or Parasites
I recently went to Mexico, specifically I went on July 18 and came back the 25th. Yesterday I started to get a fever. That fever carried over to today. Now I have minor abdominal pains and diahrrea. Do I have swine flu or parasites. I did go swimming in a famous swamp in mexico. I did get many mosquito bites and some were bleeding. I believe that it may be parasites that got in through the open mosquito bites.
